[Yeah, they do. Even if someone might have issues with that on some level because something about Jack being the only other old man in the universe - hurts. It's not Jack's fault. It's War Doctor's fault and Rose's.

I don't know. I don't. I really don't know. Supposedly Kalliste was created in this manner.... But whether or not that someone or something is influencing this - or really does just happen every million years.

[This is where someone would use The Tardis to go back and look at the start of creation but he can't]

What does this kind of thing mean for the Wakened Doctor...you said you weren't sure if my immortality would work here.....

[Jack is looking to his Doctor for answers; answers Ten doesn't exactly have]

[Though Ten doesn't know if there's a trade-off for that and a warning]

[Jack's mental voice is firm and resolute.]

[Puffy cheeks in frustration and voice is just as firm but also 'fine' undertone] Alright, but remember if you do - your Torchwood will never form. So keep that in mind.

Be honest Doctor.....would that be so bad?

No Alice of course but you never met her so it wouldn't matter to you.

{Jack will feel that Jack is wrong about no gas mask zombies because the gas mask zombies - being able to save everyone after the Time War- though Ten is only reflecting on Nine saying 'Just this once, everyone lives.'}

And I suppose you have the right to take away her existence?

It's because of me her son died....maybe it would it would be better I don't know.

That didn't give me the right to kill my grandson. Millions or one non withstanding he was her son.

[Ten's blood turns to ice or at least Jack feels that through their psychic connection - which is the one down thing about psychic connection is not being able to hide things.

Jack will feel old weary eyes staring back at him - in complete understanding of how do you live with yourself when you make those kinds of choices? Those kinds of sacrifices? There's a feeling of Ten's own stomach twisting with the same level of guilt.

Ten leans in and gives Jack a hug. An understanding hug and a forgiving hug. There are also a few tears. There's a weak]

You did the only thing you could do I'm sure. Not that it excuses it but you tried. And that's what matters.

Jack accepts the hug and returns it tears slipping down his face. There is no one harder on Jack Harkness then Jack himself and self forgiveness is hard to come by.

It hurts and it will always hurt Doctor....but thank you.
