[The child nods seriously and the window slides shut followed by the door opening up to another door. The child is watching the scary alien pass by standing on a wooden stool.]

[Ten gets the feeling that the little boy sees someone as a horrible monster and pauses for a moment, spotting opposite him. Gives a smile and continued soft and reassuring voice]

[The next door is guarded by a child of five who sees a ghost. This is the year Jack lost his birth mother and so he is more confused as he simply asks]

[The next door is guarded by an angry 13 year old boy who stares the Doctor down. There is a hint of guilt behind the anger and doesn't completely look the Time Lord in the eyes.]

[Ten pauses for a moment but only for a moment and is starting to pick up abandonment issues and again calmly remarks]

[The teenager moves aside still not looking the Doctor in the eye. The final door or in this case set of doors is guarded by a harder looking Jack. There is no twinkle in his eye, no flirty smile. He looks the Doctor in the eye his eyes like chips of ice. There is a gun at his hip and the coat he's wearing is more like armor than a comfort piece of clothing. He speaks roughly.]

Which door?

[One door has Galfrayian on it that if the Doctor looks at it hard enough will form into the word MASTER. The other one has a word on it CALEM.]

[Ten slowly eyes the teenager walk away before proceeding further - this is starting to wear him thin and that look in Jack's eyes - and the gun at his hip and can't hide how this bothers him. Deeply. And looks at both doors.]

[Guard Jack nods tightly and stands aside. He has one last parting shot with a nod at the opening door]

He doesn't let people in much....protect what you'll see.

[The door opens to a warm light and standing in it is Jack looking amused]

You went to a lot of work to get in here Doc....mind if I ask why?
